Ubuntu Vulnerabilities in the FIPS-Compliant Linux Kernel

Multiple security vulnerabilities have been identified in the Linux kernel, which an attacker could potentially exploit to compromise the affected system. This update addresses issues across the following kernel subsystems:

Alert: This kernel update includes an unavoidable ABI change and has therefore been assigned a new version number. As a result, you will need to recompile and reinstall any third-party kernel modules currently installed on your system. If you have not manually removed the standard kernel metapackages (e.g., linux-generic, linux-generic-lts-RELEASE, linux-virtual, linux-powerpc), a standard system upgrade will handle this process automatically.
